Four old friends reunite in Santa Cruz to realize their dream of opening a local microbrewery. I have the pleasure of working with these visionaries on the exciting adaptive-reuse and expansion of an old sawmill right next to the train tracks. The wood building and its beautiful trusses will be preserved for the coming tap room. In the meantime, we pushed the west wall out, added 800 sf of new area for the brewhouse, and left the opening as a viewport into the production process.
